Combinatorial Press is delighted to introduce Professor Dr. Gary MacGillivray as the newly appointed Editor-in-Chief of Ars Combinatoria. With a strong academic background and a diverse array of research interests, Dr. MacGillivray is poised to bring valuable leadership to our esteemed journal.

In terms of education, Dr. MacGillivray holds a B.Sc., M.Sc. (from the University of Victoria), and a Ph.D. from Simon Fraser University. Currently a Professor, his office is situated in the David Turpin Building A442 (DTB A442).

Dr. MacGillivray’s research interests encompass a wide spectrum of combinatorial problems with a primary focus on algorithms and complexity. His expertise extends to graph colourings and homomorphisms, deterministic, discrete-time graph processes and games, domination in graphs and related topics, graph algorithms, mathematics in sports, and math education.

In his role as Editor-in-Chief of Ars Combinatoria, Dr. MacGillivray is set to play a crucial role in steering the journal to new heights. His commitment to advancing combinatorial mathematics aligns seamlessly with the mission of Combinatorial Press. Under his editorial guidance, Ars Combinatoria is expected to continue thriving as a premier publication in the field.
